The Challenge!
Multi-pump cleaning system at Jaguar Land Rover
Jaguar Land Rover approached B & G Cleaning Systems as they were experiencing challenges cleaning their large car manufacturing factory in Solihull. The plant sits on a 300-acre site and employs over 9,000 people. They were running six individual machines and this meant they were dragging hoses across walkways which was labour intensive and expensive. They required a safer more efficient, quicker solution.
B & G Clean carried out a site survey and recommended a full multi-pump cleaning system incorporating several outlets with pipework and then the design team was given the task to engineer a special bespoke cleaning system for Jaguar Land Rover.
The Process & Scope
B & G Clean went through a vigorous tender process producing a bid that adhered to the specific requirements for the work to pass all the safety and other precise regulations required to work on site.
B & G successfully won the contract bid and tender process and set about implementing their newly bespoke cleaning system inside the UK‘s hi-tech state-of-the-art manufacturing plant for Jaguar Land Rover. To avoid the cleaning process interfering with the manufacturing schedule some work could only be carried out over the weekends which was accommodated by the expert team at B & G Clean. This meant the main chemical tanks on the main paint line and tunnels could be cleaned properly without any scheduling or health and safety issues.
The Outcome
